Madrid Want £30m Hernandez Real Deal

Premier League leaders Manchester United have seen Mexican international Javier Hernandez become one of their most prolific strikers since joining the club and his performances since the back end of last season have not gone unnoticed.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have been reported to be interested in offering Hernandez the chance to join up with a former Manchester United player, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The football news comes from Spanish media sources that show that Madrid are ready to offer as much as £30 million for the young Mexican as they look to close the gap between themselves and rivals Barcelona.

The news has lead to United boss Sir Alex Ferguson stepping up his efforts to sign the striker on a new longterm deal that would offer the forward the chance to treble his £25,000 wage to £75,000.

Although United are showing that they want to keep the 23 year old at the club, Madrid have stepped up their interest and have been reported to have said that they are willing to offer the striker a deal worth £150,000 a week, six times his current deal.

With talk of a £30 million offer being put together to make an approach for the forward, thoughts that United could look to cash in on the deal have begun to echo around the football community, the deal on offer being five times more than the club paid for the youngster just 18 months ago from Chivas.

The small striker is thought to be happy at United and manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping that his heart is at Old Trafford, eliminating the appeal that the Bernabeu could offer, and after a debut season which saw the Mexican notch up 20 goals, the club will not want to lose such an asset so soon into his career.
