Jone Samuelsen, a player in the Norwegian football league looks set to be named in the Guinness Book of World Records as the man that scored a goal with a header from the furthest distance away from the goal.

Samuelsen scored a stunning 55+ metre header, from his own half as his opposing keeper runs back to his own goal after failing to make the headlines himself.

The goal issues a shocking build up, seeing a defender clear the ball from his own area before an opponent returns the ball at power as Samuelsen once again sends the ball goalwards.

The distance was later verified by local police and now the goal will be recorded as the longest headed goal in football history.
